Slow and low BBQ was always something that I enjoyed eating.  So I decided to build my own smoker so I could learn how to make my own BBQ.  I took  55 gallon drum and proceeded to construct a vertical smoke drum.  I started with classic favorites like pork shoulder, ribs, and brisket.  My friends and I also have cured and smoked our own sausage and bacon and salmon.  I primarily use a mixture of hardwood lump charcoal and apple wood from my parents property.
