Music has always been an important part of my life. My grandmother was a music teacher and many members of my family are also involved in music to some extent. My sister and I both took violin lessons when we were young. Eventually I transitioned to the trumpet, and in high school I began taking voice lessons, employing those skills learned in school and church choirs.
In college I was a member of the Moravian College Choir, highlighted by the Moravian Christmas Vespers and European Tour in 2008. During my graduate school years I served as a choral scholar/section leader at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity for four years. Recently, I have had the pleasure of being a member of the prestigious Bach Choir of Bethlehem. The Choir was founded in 1898, gave the first complete performances in America of the Mass in B Minor (1900) and Christmas Oratorio (1901) in Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, PA. Each year since its founding in 1898, The Choir has been many visitors to the annual Bethlehem Bach Festival, now held on the campus of Lehigh University.
